Why go to a high priced salon when you can whip up a homemade facial product at home to make you look younger. It’s amazing how many natural foods, spices, and oils are just as good for our skin as they are for our digestive system. Discover three types of masks that will leave your skin feeling soft, smooth, and sexy.
Treating your face to a special blend of Mother Nature’s finest ingredients will help you exfoliate, put vital nutrients back into your skin, give a deep cleaning, and make you look and feel radiant. Your skin will feel soft and silky as a younger looking you emerges from beneath layers of tired skin cells.
Did you know, some of the best commercial facial masks and scrubs are made with a foundation of natural ingredients? You can easily purchase many of these at the grocery store. Simple things like honey, avocado and oatmeal.
Why not do a little experimenting yourself and whip up your own facial product to help you look younger? You will find that anti-aging is fun and delicious. Let’s get started!
Skin Tightening and Aromatherapy

In this first mask, you’ll add the benefits of aromatherapy to the skin tightening ingredients. In a small bowl stir together 1 Tbsp rose clay, 1 tsp of honey, 1 tsp almond oil and 1 tsp frankincense oil. Once it is well blended add in 1 Tbsp of finely ground oatmeal (you can put this in the blender). Add water to your mixture a single drop at a time until you have a nice thick paste. Apply the mask and leave it on for about 15 minutes. Once you rinse it off with warm water, I bet you will feel and look younger than when you woke up.
Rose clay can be found online.
Homemade Clay Mask
This next mask is made from clay to make you look younger. However, you may need to wrestle your cat for his kitty litter! Unscented cat litter made from 100% natural bentonite clay is a good choice for this recipe. This type of clay is the same one many high priced salons use in their face and body masks.
Who knew?
A very simple soothing clay mask is made from 4 Tbsp of kitty litter, 1 Tbsp of aloe vera gel and enough warm water to make a clay mask paste. After you apply this to your face, let it work its magic for about 15 minutes before you rinse it away.
You can also try this same recipe and add a quarter section of a ripe papaya which has been blended in a food processor. The added papaya provides extra healing benefits for problem skin.
Meanwhile, Down At the Pumpkin Patch
And finally, how would you like the natural antioxidant benefits found in pumpkin to make you look younger?
This one is so good you won’t know whether to eat it or apply it to your face as a mask. Mix together 2 cups of canned pumpkin (which is packed full of vitamins A, C and E) with 1 Tbsp of olive oil. You may need to add more oil if it seems too thick for a mask. Next, blend in 4 Tbsp of honey which has been heated up and a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice. Rub evenly over your skin and wait 20 minutes before you rinse it off and receive the wrinkle fighting properties that make you look younger.
Store the extra in the refrigerator and use it a couple of time a week.
Getting Hungry?
After using many of these masks (except maybe the kitty litter one!) you will certainly feel a little hungry! Natural foods and specific spices and oils are not only good for our skin but also for our digestive system. Keep experimenting with various facial recipes and you will find the most delicious one to make you look younger and feel energized.
