Fairytale Brownies are 3” x 3” little bites of heaven!
The top has a light, flaky crust and as you bite in your mouth is delighted by its rich fudge texture. It’s a small square and you’ll notice that 1 serving is just 200 calories…but the serving size is just half of the brownie. So, this really is a treat to be taken lightly. The good news is, if you have some willpower and just want to take the edge off your chocolate craving…just a couple bites will do.
No willpower? Go for it, savor it, but just know that this isn’t “diet” food! This is an indulgence, made with natural ingredients. And, chocolate does contain antioxidants – so you got that, right?!
What I like: Ingredients I can pronounce! They are free of trans fats, hydrogenated oils, preservatives and artificial colors. Love the soft, fudgy texture and the flavor…not too sweet, not too bland. They use Belgian chocolate.
What I don’t like: Lots of calories packed in a small package…what’s a girl who loves chocolate to do?
Can you order them online? Yes! Go to their website at www.brownies.com
Can you buy them locally? Yes! At select locations. I bought mine at Gelsons. To find out if they sell them in your location, check out this link to find where you can buy Fairytale Brownies locally: http://www.brownies.com/customer_service/retail_locations.aspx
Company information: The partners of this company met in elementary school. In 1992 they decided to dig into mom’s recipe box for the best brownie recipe ever! They started baking up batches and bringing them to Farmers Markets in Arizona. People loved them, and for the past 20 years Fairytale Brownies have been delivering happiness all wrapped up in chocolate.
What else? You can find them individually wrapped in selected stores. They also have other brownie flavors and products like bars, cookies, truffles, and even a spicy chocolate fondue! All of these can be ordered online and given as a business gift or to someone special for a special occasion like birthday, care package, anniversary or ??. If you can’t decide what to send, they also offer gift cards which the recipient can use to choose and order themselves. So, if you’re looking for gourmet brownies you can order online and send as a gift…this would be a good place to start.
Tip: If you order or receive them as a gift, and can’t eat them within a week, simply freeze them. They can be safely frozen for up to 6 months. This will allow you to take them out and enjoy in moderation!
