When the Ritz-Carlton Cloister Inn opened for the winter season in 1927, it promised to be one of Florida’s most anticipated destinations for an array of “brilliant” social functions throughout the winter. At the time, it was unique to Florida because is offered two golf courses: The Cloister, designed by Donald Ross, and the Ritz-Carlton course, one of William S. Flynn’s masterpieces.

A $130 Million Transformation
This January, the Beach Club at the Boca Raton unveiled its extensive $130 million redesign. With five hotels sitting on 200 waterfront acres, including Cloister, Yacht Club, Beach Club, Tower, and Bungalows, this renovation marks Phase II of the resort’s transformation.

Now, with 210 fully renovated guest rooms and suites, some featuring expansive outdoor terraces to enjoy ocean breezes, guests will be greeted with what promises to be a “fresh, modern take on luxury.”
Culinary Excellence
The remodel also includes an enhanced focus on culinary experiences. Guests can enjoy fresh Mediterranean fare made from seafood delivered daily by local fishermen at Marisol, a collaboration with Michelin-award-winning chef and raw bar expert, Johnny Spero.
Ondo is the Beach Club’s sand-side restaurant where a new culinary mastermind will be spotlighted each winter. For this season, the talents of Executive Chef Adriano Venturinin of Eden Roc Cap Cana in the Dominican Republic are on full display.
Wellness and Entertainment
Beach wellness takes center stage at the Beach Club. Sunset Yoga and Full Moon Yoga classes encourage a connection to the sea and nature. The Ritual Series, led by expert instructors, encourages intentional experiences from morning to night. As evening falls, guests can meet in the Living Room for a nightcap and entertainment.
Family-Focused Amenities
For the littles, the Beach Club offers Banyan Bunch Beachside, a dedicated children’s program that includes educational activities designed around discovery and nature. And for teens, there is the Game Loft that mixes old-school fun with the latest technology.
World-Class Resort Facilities
The property features comprehensive amenities including a private beach, the Forbes Five-Star Spa Palmera, an 18-hole golf course, a full-service marina, Racquet Club with 14 tennis courts and 12 new pickleball courts, retail shops, seven swimming pools, and various water activities at Harborside Pool Club, state-of-the-art fitness clubs and wellness collaborations.
